If you ever come to Buenos Aires city, more especificly to Microcentro in the San Nicolas district, which is home of the business district's financial center -the perfect place to get stressed and so a Coffe Break as well- there's a little cozy coffee shop called Culto Cafe expecting your visit.

So when I read this contest theme description I instantly thought of Culto Cafe, not only because it is very near my house (lol) but because this is a specialty coffee shop a friend of mine has told me several times about, because of the real taste of their coffee. So I just decided to go there and give it a try :P

Since my job schedule and Culto's working hours didn't match too much for me to have a Coffee Break during the day, I decided to start my week having breakfast in there before going to my job. As they say there's no better way to start your morning than with a good cup of coffe, right?

Culto Cafe is located downtown Buenos Aires, in Microcentro that is the east side of "The Center" as it is usually referred by the locals even though this neighbourhood proper name is San Nicolas, home to much of Buenos Aires financial sector. This little coffee shop is right in the corner of Esmeralda street with Viamonte street, their address is Esmeralda 699.

Culto Cafe opened its doors this very year on May so it's kind of a new place.

This is wrong, they actually work from 8 am till 8 pm as they mention on their Instagram bio.

Their motto "Oscura Devocion" which translates "dark devotion" really matches the overall colors, imagery and vibes of the place.

The big alchemist, a really awesome mural.

If you look above right after you enter the shop you'll see their coffee offer on that big black board. Besides classical coffees, they have cold coffee drinks or frappus; "sin cafe" (without coffee) drinks like tea and chocolate; nice combos for breakfast, snack and lunch; and also extras like almond milk or one coffee shot. All of these items at very affordable prices, each of them less than 200 ARS (3,35 dollars atm).

Now, if you look down you'll see the bar with all of the eatings they have to escort your coffee.

They have muffins, puddings, and my loved "medialunas" (literally half moons lol) or, as they are worldwide known, "croissants".

What did I order? ☕ 🥐

"May the force be with you".

Since it was monday morning and I planned to have breakfast in there before going to work, I ordered the breakfast combo.

DSCF0023(2).jpg

As I became a crazy fan of medialunas (especially half moons of butter) since I came to Argentina, the already (lol) planned decision wasn't really hard at all (lololol).

Don't they look delicious?????

As you see the place decorations have a very occultist, iluminati, dark, rocker and even witchy vibe; the black as predominant color makes it very elegant, which I think really matches the business mood and atmosphere of this area of the city.

This is the day to day life of Microcentro streets since Microcentro has a wide concentration of offices, service companies and banks, and a large circulation of pedestrians on working days.

People constantly passing by, in a hurry and probably stressed(? lol

Coffee books all over the place 📚 ☕

The first thing I noticed after I sat at the bar, books about coffee and tea over the bars.

Isn't it great? :D

Culto Cafe is one of the many specialty coffee shops that are listed in the "Pasaporte del Cafe", a guide to specialty coffee shops in Buenos Aires.

DSCF0115(2).jpg

"The trip of the Coffee starts here".

According to their website, this passport is a guide where each coffee shop is a nation, it offers you exclusive benefits like promotions and discounts, and a tour by different coffee shops that were carefully selected "for their unique offer and their love for specialty coffe".

DSCF0126(2).jpg

"Welcome to the trip of the Coffee".

This is my friend's passport, not mine, but I'll probably buy one on next season release since this one will expire on january, so we won't have enough time to visit all the coffee shops in there.

Rules of Use.

DSCF0123(2).jpg

DSCF0121(3).jpg

"somos un espacio de calma en el caos" (we are a space of calm in chaos), a phrase I totally agree with.

DSCF0122(2).jpg

Once you visit a coffee shop and get your promo or discount your passport will be stamped.

I really enjoyed my experience here, this is really a cozy place in the middle of the Microcentro chaos and the coffee was honestly the best I've had so far, really tasty and especial. The love put in this little space and in the coffee really shows how of devoted these people are to good coffee and how serious their proposal is.

Thank you so much for reading till here all of this long review lol and feel free to tell me what you think of this cute coffee shop: How many times did you see that little iluminatti pyramid in these photos? Or, more importantly, if you ever come to Buenos Aires: will you join the cult?

Iluminatti pyramid? I count 14... although I'm not 100% sure with the one stool :-b

Beautiful review combined with the story of you starting your day there with a tasty breakfast... although the prices don't seem particularly affordable to me. But of course that is relative.

Just sitting here with a cup of coffee myself. The way I usually start my day. Big cup, while I'm checking what's going on in the world.

Love how you tell your story with the pictures, both word and image full of detail and atmosphere. I can almost smell the coffee!

Thank you, Reinhard! That's my goal to reach that point again in my life, check what's going on with the world and more while drinking coffee in such a cozy place like this :)
Greetings!
