The building alone is already an eye-catcher, even if there are many houses in Garmisch-Partenkirchen to marvel at in this way with the wall painting. The house was built in 1736 and is now a listed building. In the house there is the restaurant Isi's Goldener Engel, a cafe and a bar in the cellar.
The restaurant is popular with locals and many tourists. If you want to enjoy Bavarian home cooking in a cosy ambience, this is just the place for you. The interior is also decorated with lots of wood and Bavarian accessories. It is very cosy and you will like to sit longer and drink another beer. Since the restaurant was well visited, I could not take any pictures of the inner rooms.
The food tastes excellent and there are large portions on the table. I only ordered a liver dumpling soup because I was not very hungry.
