Krushevska Odaja, Krushevo - Tasteem Review

Hello!

Today I would like to share with you a review of a restaurant I visited few days ago, during my holiday trip in a mountain city in my country.

This is my weekly choice, because I was very satisfied by the staff, the ambience and the taste of the food.

I have already visited this mountain city, that is really small, and does not have a variety of restaurant choices. But I have never heard about this wonderful restaurant, that I found out accidentally by walking in the nature. It just appeared and got my attention! :)

Surrounded by the woderful nature of Krushevo, just in the middle of the forest, where if it snows, is a peace of a cozy, ethno, wooden and warm place to taste a traditinal cuisine.

This ethno restaurant offers a variety of traditional meals, salads and delicious specialities.

Everything in this warm restaurant is in ethno style, even the menu :).

First I ordered the macedonian home made traditional drink - Rakiya. My fiance ordered the same, just as a started during we decide what meal to order. We also ordered a salad named Ovcharska, with cucumber, cheese, tomato, yellow cheese and egg. This salad goes very good with the Rakiya.

I was interested by the taste of the house speciality - Krushevska Sabja. So that was what we decided to order as a main meal, as well as one dish of pork rib, because we tought maybe Krushevska sabjla will not be enough for the two of us.

This speciality is served on a metal holder, and represents a variety of meats (chicken and pork), arranged side by side, with grilled vegitables in between. Hanging over a plate with potatos, you can see the sauce of the meat, falls over the potatos, so they also get the taste of the meat.

The taste was very soft, delicious and juicy. The grilled caramelized onions was the perfect thing to taste in this meat combination.

I also liked the dish with pork rib we ordered. I must admit that I have tried better one in other restaurants, but this one was also quite tasty. It was served with baked potatos and some fresh vegitable.

We also ordered a grilled bread with a lot of cheese over it.

Later, we ordered a bottle of beer, that is the most famous one in our country. It goes poerfect with this kind of grill.

I especially enjoyed the ethno ambience all around us. There were a lot of traditional macedonian objects, clothes and devices, that were a huge part of the every day life of our grand parents. I remembered that as a little girl, I had some of this objects in my home. But the technology is evolving really fast, so they don't exist anymore, and are often used in this kind of restaurants, as antique objects.

The staff was also very friendly, so they proposed us to try their pankakes as a dessert. We ordered one, because we were already full of eating :)

The pankake was filled with a lot of cream and banana.

Overall, it was very nice experience to spend some time here, in the middle of this forest, with such a nice staff and surrounded by this traditional objects. The feeling was amazing and unforgetable. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone who want to try traditional meals and enjoy the ethno style.
