Our Bengali tradition is very old. Since that time, the Bengalis were very conscious about food. And the current generations are more aware. They retained the traditions of past food and tried to make some difference in those foods.
Jiapi is a traditional Bengali food. At the time of the event or the fair, all the people had the taste of Jilapi. However, today's shape of Zilapi is bigger by its name, Shahi or Bombay Jilapi.
But we liked slim Jilapi from the very beginning. Because our mentality was a different kind, like slim jilapi weighed more in the time of weighing, so we could eat slim jilpi more.
Though the current general like most Shahi Jilapi for the new stylish shape. But still now I like most Slip Jilapi and enjoy with that.
