Being in Sabah, it is all about experience a different kind of exquisite cuisine locally. Thanks to @cklai for bringing us around to experience and most importantly to taste. This was a trip to the entrance of Mount Kinabalu to look around before we went for the hike the next day. Here, we dropped by at this local stall that sell Lokan, a kind of clam that are found abundant locally.
The clams were serve with coconut water where they burned the coconut before serving. This gave the coconut water a different kind of taste. Loving that too! Just by having these few simple items, we enjoyed the meal (would say a snack time) for an hour as they were busying preparing a few batch of the clams for us. Luckily we did not go through any stomach problem as we also worried about consuming dirty clams and get poisoning.
Again, being in Sabah is all about experiencing and trying. Of course, be aware on what you consume as you do not want to ruin the trip.
