For my love of Ilocano dish, this is one of the best places to eat in Baguio City.

I am not that keen about seafood. The only food I like is anything fish. I know La Parilla has a Seafood Platter which I haven't tried until now.

La Parilla is nestled among the trees. They have outdoor seating as well which I prefer especially during the dry season. It is refreshing to be surrounded by greenery.

I was unable to picture the main building because there was an ongoing event during our visit and the main building is occupied. It's all right since I would have chosen to sit outside anyway.

We were given the menu but I already know what to order: Seafood Platter.

Aside from serving main Filipino dishes, they also serve pasta and pizza.

We went ahead and ordered Seafood Platter.
This platter is good for 4-5 people, however, probably 2-3 for voracious eaters.

The platter consists of mussels, tilapia, squid - all grilled.

It also includes shrimp, crab, shrimp crackers, mixed vegetables (tomatoes, onions, ripe mango, eggplant, and grilled okra), marinated boneless bangus or milkfish and served withrice topped with red eggs or salted eggs and bits of fried dory.

The food is not salty. The only salty one is the bagoong dip with tomatoes. This is a common dip for Ilocanos. The food is varied which makes the eating experience full of different tastes and flavors and textures.

I also like that the squid is stuffed with cheese which adds more taste to it.

Seafood is not cheap here because understandably we are here in the mountains so the source comes from the lowlands which makes them pricey..

I have tried other food such as Ilocano Platter and that is better than Seafood Platter in terms of the quantity of food and the value.

This is also one of my faves for coffee and desserts. They have their own pie which I like.

NOTE: Food takes 15-20 minutes to be served so better be there when you are not as hungry.

La Parilla is located at 68 Kisad Road, Baguio City. They have free wifi and accepts cash and credit card. This is a non-smoking zone. Sadly, pets are not allowed.

This is near hotels and the Burnham Park as well. So it is easy to go to. Because it is built among the trees, it gives a private feel to your dining.
