This is an infamous place to eat here in Miri. It makes food that is Taiwanese inspired and have also gotten great reviews from Taiwanese who have visited this eatery.
It is a rare gem in the city and won't be seen from the outside and you need to know how to get here to get here. Once there was a hotel that is located next to this cafe but then have closed its doors and have been abandoned for quite a long time.
Usually, it is not lit up as it closes its doors at around 1pm in the afternoon. Its main business hours are for breakfast and lunch. It sells soy milk but usually sells out before I have a chance to drink it.
**The menu **
This menu has been here perhaps for a long time.
This is the stall menu that faces the main road. It is conviniently located just besides a drivethru styled road that cars entering the junction could just order food and leave by the time they get their order ready.
The classic way of drinking coffee
Small cup to give you that stirring sound when you stir the cup well.
Salad fried dough
There is no place in Miri where other places sell this except for here. Inside the salad is also pork bits that have already been steamed with some veges. The fried dough is made fresh here.
Everything on the table that was ordered.
That orange bowl of noodles is what is found here locally and is called the Kolo mee. The orange colour comes from colours of meat. The pork bits on top add on to the savoury flavours.
The Kolo Mee
I took a picture of everything from the top to make it a nice cover photo. The three dishes below are all special and mostly found in Taiwan. I think the chef and the owner here actually lived in Taiwan long time ago before she set up this shop. It is quite a popular place where those who are hungry go to.
This is the road view of Miri just outside this cafe. Red lanterns are seen hung throughout the city as the Chinese New Year approaches.
This is the view of the abandoned hotel known as PARK HOTEL. It had this really nice authentic chinese restaurant very long time ago but sadly this iconic building is now shut down and I guess haunted.
