A Relaxing Afternoon By The Beach At Camp Bryztoff

It was a pretty boring Monday when the day started earlier. Around noontime, I was still on my bed contemplating what to do to enjoy the day. I am done with doing tasks for my business but I don't want to just lay in bed and sleep or do nothing. I chatted with my cousin and asked her if her dad, my favorite uncle was around. They were both available so I told them we were going on a road trip to find a restaurant by the beach after lunchtime. My uncle knew of a new place that's still under construction but it's already operational and accepting guests and does not need reservations. He knew the place but he did not know the name, so there was no way for me to check if it was a cool place to hang out or not. I got excited, I had no expectations or anything. I was ready to be surprised!

The name is CAMP BRYZTOFF! I do not know how to pronounce it but it sure sounds like a fun place. The picture above was the sign at the highway, we had to go into a long road (2 kilometers) going to the coast to find their camp.

bry2.jpg
We arrived at the place. Since it's a Monday, it was not so crowded. There were just four guy guests and the resort's personnel.

bry3.jpg
My cousin looked for the receptionist, there was a 20 pesos entrance fee per head that we had to pay.

Going in, they have this lounge.

bry.jpg
Then across the lounge, you see the view of the beach. Isn't that so inviting?

bry9.jpg
Of course, we went down and felt the breeze and looked for a good place to relax and have a snack. This was 2pm.

To the right side of that receiving building were the restaurant/bar and their ATVs that were for rent for 300 Pesos ($6) per 30 minutes, if you want to ride them by the shore.

bry10.jpg
That's my uncle, he decided to sit on this table so he has a good view of the sea. If you are wondering if that's a dog down there, yes it's a dog. They have 3 good dogs wandering in the property and one that's on a leash inside the hut.

bry11.jpg
We were done with lunch before we got there so my uncle was not into eating a heavy meal. I decided to treat him a big bottle of beer for driving for us to get to this place.

bry12.jpg
I got him some chips with vinegar-chili dip to go with the beer.

pancit1.jpg
My cousin and I decided to have pancit (stir-fried noodles) and lemonade.

pancit.jpg
The pancit was cooked by the wife of the caretaker. They were glad we did not order a lot because their cook was actually absent. They had a busy weekend, the cook had to call this Monday his off.

pancit2.jpg
This was my plate. I loved the lemonade, it was really refreshing. I actually wanted to ask what they put into it. The pancit was tasty, too!

bry13.jpg
Behind us was a videoke machine. If you don't know what a videoke machine is, it's a karaoke machine with a TV. We need to put a 5-peso coin (10 cents in USD) in to be able to play 1 song and sing along.

bry14.jpg
Here, I had to ask a bill of our order for my obligatory pic with my lucky Steem Silver Round. We paid 480 pesos for the meal and 60 pesos for the entrance fee earlier, so we had a total expense of 540 pesos which is a little over $10 (520 Pesos). Cheap, right? I know. That's how affordable it is in the Philippines.

Moving on, I took a lot of pictures of the resort because I loved what I saw around me. The place was simply relaxing and everybody was so cool. They have nice staff. They are still fixing a lot of things around the property, moving the huts, some construction going on, painting wall art, etc.

bry16.jpg
Here are some of their cottages for rent. They're for 300 Pesos ($6) each for the whole day.

bry17.jpg
Some of the stuff around the property.

bry19.jpg
More space and some furnitures. I love the hammocks!

bry20.jpg
This is one of the bigger cottages for rent, this is for 800 Pesos ($16) per day.

bry21.jpg
That's the owner and his men moving the mini-stage.

bry22.jpg
We also witnessed them moving the huts/cottages. A little bit of information, this reminds me of BAYANIHAN, a Filipino term for a when the community comes together to do a task for someone. Long ago, Filipinos did not have concrete houses, what we had were huts. When a family moved their huts, they will call for their neighbors and move the hut, that was called BAYANIHAN. People did it for free or the family just let them have a snack for helping.

Here is a guy doing the wall art of the restaurant.

That's my cousin, she is single, so she posed in that bamboo heart. She was laughing because it had a stick supporting it. She was saying her heart looked like that bamboo heart, it's held only by one small stick. LOL

Here's the owner's dog. She's a cute and a well-behaved doggo.

Just some chickens doing sunbathing.

Here's a flag by the beach that bears the resort's name

Too many pictures in this post, but actually I have more in my phone's memory but I will have to end this here. I was in love with the place. It was simply good and was easy on the budget. I love the ambiance. I love the people and there's actually more to this place in the future because it's a camp. They have a lot of amenities that I was not able to explore, they have more tents, they have rooms, they have archery in here, basketball, guitar lessons, acoustic sessions, ATV driving, etc. I will have to make another post for it, I guess. I'll have to do it next time for me to have reasons to keep coming back. It was so much worthy of my time this Monday and I am glad my uncle and my cousin were game in coming with me.

If you live in the Philippines or you want to visit the Philippines and enjoy a nice day relaxing, you can search and visit this place. It's in the laid back province of Leyte, in the heart of the country. You will love to have an amazing experience in this place.
