When it comes to food, I’m probably one of the person who just munch-in and wouldn’t care about posting it in social media. Maybe I’m too focused about the food, however while browsing through my feed I noticed more and more are posting about their dining experience that it inspires me to share mine too.

Let me share my dining experience on one of the prominent Indian food restaurant here in Singapore, it’s called Muthu’s Curry. There are three branches here in Singapore, the one I went to is the Dempsey Hill location. What I think (together with my friends) is that this location has to be the best, which is mainly because of the ambience and the amazing environment. It is away from the city area and so we can have a serene dining experience.

On this night, we had the best chicken dish that I have ever tried, the Tandoori Chicken. The chicken was grilled perfectly and it’s really tender and juicy. I was able to taste the authenticity of the tandoori flavor. Since it was cooked in a traditional clay oven, I can also taste the smoky flavor of the dish.

Aside from that, we also tried the restaurant’s signature dish which is the Fish Head curry, which has a unique sourness to it. The satisfying sour flavor of this dish is due to the tamarind that was added to it. They also added vegetable to it which I really like. In addition, they also added pine chunks which really compliments the fish and made it fresh tasting.

For some reason, I chose to pair these dishes to a plain white rice. You can also choose to pair it with a Briyani rice which is slightly more expensive, however I feel like it would compete to the flavor of the dishes.

Another strong point of Muthu’s Curry is that they also served clay oven baked Tandoori Roti which is really filling, especially that I had it together with the rice.

Before I end this post, I just want to commend the place since it really comfortable to dine in. It is lofty with its high ceiling and its imposing lighting fixtures. I would definitely come back to this place and even bring my friends with me. This is the kind of place that I would recommend for everyone who visit Singapore and would want to experience an authentic Indian cuisine.
