[The Rotisserie Shop] Not bad, but...

Had been wanting to visit the Rotisserie Shop ever since seeing it on an episode of 90 Day Fiancé (no shame), and finally stopped in for dinner the other weekend.

ATMOSPHERE
The restaurant is located in a strip mall with several other shops and restaurants. It's easily accessible and there's plenty of parking in the large lot out front. The interior is mid-sized, with lots of small wooden tables. Not especially well-decorated, but the teal walls and light fixtures are cute. The kitchen is open to the dining area, but wasn't noticeably noisy when we visited. There's also a nice little outdoor patio off the front with a couple tables.

FOOD
The menu is mostly Southern-inspired, with lots of sandwiches, salads, sides, and larger plates (chicken or pulled pork + two sides, chicken strip basket, shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, etc.) to choose from. Most dishes were around $12-$14.

--Hot Alabama Chicken Sandwich, $13 (pulled chicken, white bbq sauce, pimento cheese, buffalo sauce, and fried green tomato slices on a roll): Was drooling after reading the description, but not all that impressed with the real thing. The fried green tomatoes were kind of soggy and the buffalo sauce overpowered the bbq sauce and pimento cheese.

--Mac and Cheese: So good!! Chose it as my side with the chicken sandwich.

--Chicken Strip Basket, $13 (5 chicken strips, jalapeño cole slaw, and fries): So much food. The chicken was good and the fries were okay.

SERVICE
Our server was friendly and attentive.

Bottom Line: Decent food, decent atmosphere. The price range seemed a little steep for the type of cuisine. May return in the future for a plate of sides instead of a sandwich.
