Milk beer - perfect blend of beer and milk
Unlike beer or beer that is popular in many countries around the world, milk beer is known as a unique drink in Japan.
The idea came from a dairy farm in the Hokkaido oasis, Japan. In March 2006, the farm had to destroy large amounts of expired cow milk. Facing the damage of the farm, the son of a dairy farmer came up with the idea of creating a beef made from cow's milk. The idea is to solve the dairy problem on the farm
He brought this idea to the local Abashiri Beer Breweries for production cooperation. However, he only received a stern response from the company's chief executive, explaining that milk beer needed a more costly and expensive process than ordinary barley beer.
Without abandoning the idea, he studied the brewing process himself using cow's milk using hot air. This hot air is always adjusted to suit each batch. Milk beer can not be directly boiled because it is boiled and the milk is poured on the distillation apparatus.
After the milk is heated, a suitable amount of yeast is added to the milk and the solution is cooled down. When this solution fermentation will change to the color and smell like milk tea. The solution looks like regular beers.
Bilk is the author of this special beer. The names are B and ilk in Beer and Milk. Currently, the beer is bottled 0.33 liters and sold for 380 yen (equivalent to more than 3 USD) at Nakashibetsu Restaurant. The author also added, "This beer is very suitable for women, I Hopefully this product will be popular with women. "
