This could be my go to weekly or biweekly choice Steamboat Buffet option added to my restaurant list. Recently, pictures has been shared around in one of my whatapps business group, promoting this restaurant.

The name of the shop called "NANA Tom Yum House", in the morning they serve Fish Noodle Soup, and at night they change into Steamboat Buffet style. They located about 15minutes away from the City of Kota Kinabalu, smack in the small district called Penampang.

The shop is surrounded with banks, hotels, small medium enterprises companies and also clinics too. Every single time i pass by this shop in the morning, its jam pack with people, and usually my lunch hour is limited, to wait for food during lunch
time is something i could not bear.

So back to my review, it was in my whatapps feeds that i came to know they are serving Steamboat Buffet Dinner. In one of those night, where me and my wife would ask each other What's for Dinner ? thats when i suggested to go and try here.

The shop is situated at the corner lot, so it quite visible to see, it has about 40 seating capacity, big space to walk, not those crampy walking area. We seated and look at the menu, we were shock to see the price at RM16.90 (USD4.00) per person buffet steamboat. Usually when we see this price, we will know that not a lot choices of meat and vege. it was kinda late and tired, we just go for it for sake of eating, we agreed with the price and off we go to the meat and vege section to choose our take.

To my suprised, it was quite well spread of with lots of choices, i mean for USD4.00 EAT ALL YOU CAN BUFFET. This is rare for me.

The vege section was variety, and lots of condiments you can choose and add to your liking, they serve eggs, fresh hand made noodles, vermicelli, fresh cut chillies, lime, lots of lettuce, cabbage and other green vege.

The meat section, they store it in the chiller, they offer loads kind of diffrent types of Meat Balls, Fish ball, Chicken and Beef .This shop does not serve Pork.

We started to cook and wait for the soup to boil, since Tom Yum soup is their speciality, we opt for that and another chicken soup to balance the taste bud.

Food for the GIANTS, haha... Look at that beautiful sights, those seafood prawn and meat balls are cooked and ready to eat. In every aspect of Steamboat, the first and foremost thing to do before eating the meats is tasting the Soup.

All i can say, the soup is impeccable and tasty, super sweet from the fish browth ( i think they use the morning browth they cooked and boil and prepared it for the night Steamboat Buffet.

It was totally unexpected, it really blew my mind, it was not Too spicy, it was just nice with the right flavour.

The sweetness was just right at the tastebud. Same goes with the chicken soup, it was just nice. We had to ask the waitress to add more soup base for our Steamboat and cooked other meat and vege.

In my head to Eat All You Can for $4.00, i could not complain any single thing. The shop is clean, no flies flying around, fresh meat and vege, lots of choices of condiments, and also lots of variety in their Seafood Meat Balls.

On the right hand side of the menu, stated you can add on other Seafood meats such as Prawns, Crabs, Lamb, and etc with just a small top up fee starting from RM5.00 ($1.20) per plate serving for 2 person.

It was really a splendid and unexpected night to try this shop, we hope to come back again and inroduce to our relative and friends.

The owners were friendly people, keep asking us to take more. Great service, attentive staff and waitress as they help you to clear the plates thats been used for bones and give you new plates.

Who else i go with none other my ex girlfriend. @gelfire. It is by far one of the best Steamboat Buffet i been in my region, nothing beats cheap and tasty food, right?

Cost Damage : RM33.80 i did not took the bil as their is none, it was a local shop using the traditional method of saying the total amount and customer paid accordingly towards what has been transpired in the menu.
