Participants in this study were asked about the number of tattoos they had and their state of mind as well as self-esteem. Surprisingly, the more tattoos there were the better the concept of self-image had. Something that makes sense since normally, when you decide to tattoo yourself, it is normal to choose a motif that is aesthetically pleasing to you and, therefore, beautifies your body in a greater or lesser extent.
Of course, not all is good news: women with more tattoos also had a higher rate of depression and even suicide attempts, especially those that had more than 4. Once again, it all comes back to sense: many tattoos are linked to Couples, emotional failures or even traumas of the past. Many of them accumulate personal dramas in every motive on their skin. At this point we find a failure in this study: they did not ask the participants for the reasons to get tattooed
