I was like most people whose parents forced them to go a public school that I hated nearly every day. I was far more interested in learning dos, unix, basic programming, and reading whatever I wanted on my own. Once I got out of high school, I just worked crap jobs while self-learning enough tech skills to get myself into a decent IT career.
