Tea is one of the very important beverage in India. Its not only a drink but main part of hospitality, a basic offering we make to our guests, a girl's cooking is judged by Tea made by her during arranging marriage, its necessity in the morning ad afternoon, its offered while making new relations, to make sick person feel good, its forced to friends to chit for an another hour to chit chat some drink just because their body is screaming for caffeine
My parents are also a Tea fan, many of our foreign delegates look to buy tea for their friends back in their country.
India is one of the largest producers of Tea in India and 70% is consumed by Indians itself. The plantations looks so beautiful, many places like Assam, Darjeeling, Munnar and many other places has largest production of tea and they are counted in the specialty. We find many brands with special tea packages. Masala Tea, Ginger tea, black tea, strong te, light tea, organic tea, green teas etc... the market for tea is wide.
Unlike Chinese people Indians don't drink tea in small porcelains, Indians love big cup of chai with ginger or cardamom and some like it masala tea while some prefer simple plain chai. I like it with some rusk or puffs.
How you like your tea?
