Penalty Rates Hypocrisy

in teamaustralia •  7 years ago

So overnight, the man who wants to be PM, Bill Shorten has come out saying that if elected he will reinstate the penalty rates for EVERY SINGLE WORKER. He stressed that point.

But my question is, does that include the millions of workers who he and the unions have disadvantaged over the past 15years with Enterprise Bargaining schemes that strip the penalty rates from those workers.

When the Fair Work Commission handed down that ruling earlier in the year Mr Shorten wheeled out 2 "real workers" who were supposedly going to be disadvantaged by these rulings. One of these was a young Coles worker. But in their infinite wisdom they forgot the fact that the SDA Union stripped penalty rates from these poor buggers many years ago, they don't get double time on a Sunday, they are lucky to get 125% and nothing on Saturdays. Also, they don't get shift allowances for working at nights. All stripped away by the unions, and not something that the government actually has control over.

Then there was the cleaning lady, the company she worked for had an EBA as well, and this time it was setup by the AWU, and who was the president of the AWU in Victoria at that time.......... Thats right the very same Mr Bill Shorten. That EBA saved the employer $2million a year and has cost workers tens of millions of dollars in lost wages since it was installed.

So its all well and good for Labour to say that they want to re-instate penalty rates, but its actually the UNIONS who keep stripping them away from the workers to benefit the employers.

I just hope the LNP get onto this and rip into them to show them up for the lying scheming dogs they are.

too right bro. Wait till my next article. I'm off for 3 days, so I gotta work out how to schedule them

yeah, I'm in the same boat on starting to put a schedule together. The worst this is, today I was going to do another TUTORIAL post and I woke up with a monster migraine. Then I thought tomorrow I might do a post on codine

damn that sucks man. I need to find a good scheduler so when I'm sitting up at midnight I can tap out some posts to be done at a later date.

yeah because we get paid for post, and we need to come up with good content on a regular basis. I found I need to put a schedule together. Not just for what my post are going to be, but also the time to be writing. As this is hopefully going to be my form of income as my followers increase. And the post make a good return.

Exactly. And I just hit 300 :) you said it'd happen today

That's awesome. I'm almost at 200. But I found only 10% actually up-vote my content.

Also while I have got you, I just signed up for the minnowsupport. When posting what is the rules for that. is it only 1 post a day with the tag minnowsupportproject

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. It all got a tad complicated for me. I do know though that you can only request the Bot to upvote you once a day.

Thanks, I thought so. it seems that all the rules for bot up-votes are the same.

You forgot to mention that the FWC review of penalty rates only came about because Labor and Shorten wrote it into the Act?

Your dead right mate. Damn hypocrites
