It's hump day and were half way through our weekly grind, as it's Easter it's a short week here in Australia as we have Friday off. We also skip Monday next week, lets face it no one likes Mondays so that's great!
I want to learn something new today, tell me something about yourself, something you enjoy doing or something that brings joy to your life.

On evenings when there is little wind we like to go down to our local beach on the bay just after sunset and spearfish wading in the shallows. We use waterproof torches on a long pole so that the light is under the surface of the water and it’s amazing what turns up after dark. There are many rays and toadfish both of which we leave well alone. I’ve taken a few flounder, mullet, and bream. I haven’t managed to catch a flathead yet but I’ve seen a couple and looking forward to catch one as they’re really good eating. Most of the time we don’t catch anything but it’s really nice wading in the water looking for the fish. The funniest ones are the garfish, they are mesmerised by the light and swim straight into the torch; at which point you can just scoop them with a net if you want to! I’ve caught a few this way but let them go as they seem just too small to eat! Hope you had a good day mate!
