TEAM AUSTRALIA: Introduction Post.

well now you learn a thing every day, i didn't know you were not allowed to donate blood after a certain.... ahem.... age.... i'm a nurse too... but my patients normally are the recipients. Working in the "meaty" end of the hospital system, no pun there, our patients go through a little bit of this. We thank you for your donations. It has been a few years since i have, (owing to babies and pregnancy and the usual suspects).

Actually... rug making i HAVE done... but not the methods you suggest. I made my daughter some blanket rugs for the play room floor. So they were fabric rather than yarn based rugs. I get in trouble for knitting based hobbies. My husband looks at me in horror like i am turning into his great grandmother before his eyes. Its funny, i'm allowed to sew, embroider even... but not... oh the horror of it... knit!!! never....Funny creatures they are.

I also tinker with writing, i see from your web page that you also find solace in words. I would love to write more, but i find my attention span and "sticking things out to the end" power is just not good enough. I have hundreds of started books. where i get a great idea write a few chapters and they are good. Actually they are good. but i just don't have the inclination to finish.

Yes i know i normally stomp... it doesn't help that the snake is renting the same space as a wasps nest. One or the other might be manageable but together... intolerable. Though i will say i am more frightened by the wasps who are more likely to bite than the snake.

thanks for stopping by @isabeldorastorey i hope you enjoy your steemit journey as much as i. You have yourself a great day.

Sarah

I find my motivation to finish writing a lengthy thing vanishes when (a) I know how it is going to end and (b) when I have told someone else the story. Mentioned this to another writer who pointed out that, as a storyteller the story is told in the telling. Do you find common threads within the stories you have started but not carried forward? Wasps are creatures I would not be inclined to allow to build anywhere near me! I have a vague memory of removing one - must have worked out as I would have remembered having to worry about living with them. I have some unfinished knitting on the go - blanket for a cot in South African orphanage supported by the staff at the Backpackers Lodge where I stayed when researching for my novel. I have got the feeling you and I could rattle on for ages! LOL
