Hello all! In my last blog, I switched gears from music bands to fishing. I am kind of switching it up again!
For this blog, I want to talk about my friends from Human Support Services in Waterloo, IL. They are a great group of people that also have special needs. There are many people who work very hard to sponsor activities for me and my friends. Keeping special needs folks active in the community and productive in the community is very important to me and my friends.
The latest event I attended was the annual spring dance. The theme for the dance was the 80’s. We were served a very good meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, dinner rolls and cake for dessert. The meal was delicious!
There was a band and lots of room to dance. A Lot of folks dressed up for the 80's theme. My special needs friends always know how to have a good time.
I have had the pleasure of hanging out with my friends for many activities. Dances are held 2-3 time a year. Halloween parties are always a big hit. Picnics at parks are a good way to get some fresh air. Bowling is a great winter activity. We went to a Cardinal baseball game in April and about froze our butts off! A Gateway Grizzlie ball game is coming up!
I truly enjoy all the fun activities that Human Support Services provide for me and my special need friends!
Keep on Dancin'!
