And the food adventure continues...
Just a brief introduction of myself, I am a foodie! And I am proud of it! I'll go wherever the food is. But beyond my cravings for food, I want to know about the ingredients and about the preperations for all the mouthwatering dishes. However whenever I try to remake the dish, it will just turn out as unpleasing as it can be.
It was Friday, the best day in a week. I always have this can't-decide-on-where-to-eat syndrome. So I leave it for my friend to decide, and he brought me to a cafe at Seksyen 17, Petaling Jaya, called Food Foundry. There is ample of parking but when it comes to lunch hours, no parking is big enough to fit all the cars.
(I didn't get to take the front of the cafe because it was pouring so heavily😭. The cafe is at the corner lot so it's quite noticeable)
The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in was that only cement pillar in the middle of the cafe and the theme colour is very soothing to the eyes. The tables and chairs are WOOD, I really really love wood furniture. There are cloud-like lights hanging down from the ceiling on the right side of the cafe, which i can't help not to touch it. I feel like a kid in wonderland. We chose a table at the window. It took me quite a long time to decide on what I want to order, so "one iced mocha first please".
The first sip at the bottom was quite bitter but as I gradually lift the straw up, the mixture of the bitterness of the mocha and the sweetness of the ice cream just makes me wanna scream OOHLALA!
Then came the main dishes, Carbonara and Chicken Cordon Bleu. That blue plate which they used to serve the carbonara really brings out the attractiveness of that dish, made me want to dive immediately into the world of pastas. Oh how I love carbonara! I used to eat carbonara cooked with spaghetti but for this they used fettuccine. Light yet still tasty, I still want more.
For the Cordon Bleu, the chicken breast is stuffed with spinach and cheddar cheese. As you slice through the chicken breast, you can see cheese oozing out from the middle, my appitite level rose to 1000000%. How about yours?
As dessert we ordered Salted Caramel and Almond Mille Crepe. I would say this is the best crepe I have eaten so far. The crispy caramel-coated almond goes so well with the buttery crepe, it is very satisfying. I can't help falling in love with you~. If caramel is not your cup of tea, there are still many other flavours to choose from, every one of them looks so tempting. I will certainly try out all the other crepe on my next visit.
You too should definitely try this place out!
