I see Dead people, is this a gift or a curse?

Have you ever wondered why some people has the ability to see entities, spirits of dead people or ghosts? Have you ever wondered how the world looks like through their eyes? Do you want to have this ability? Can you ever imagine yourself talking face to face with a ghost? I guess some of us want this, and some will shudder just thinking about it. I don't have such abilities myself, but I know some people who has it and they would gladly throw it all away. I love to hear their stories though, but at the same time it gives me nightmare every time I heard it. I will tell you about their experiences, their stories, and by the end of this writing, you may choose to believe it or not and tell me if it is a Gift or a Curse.

Most of the people that I have known that has this ability, they all acknowledge that they have it since they were a child. Some of them can see spirits or ghosts late in the evening or night time only, but some can even see them during the day. These spirits will always be around, and will even disturb you when you are asleep. At first these people will be terrified with what they saw and experienced, but as they grew older, it becomes a norm to them. According to them these spirits are actually harmless to human, but some are devils in disguises who loves to fool or scaring human being.

Ever wondered how the dark spirit world is? It is just like our dreams when we sleep, a bit foggy, the background mostly are dark and unclear. This is how the world of these spirits looks like, just like our dreams, but these special people has a different glow (light) within them that differentiates them with other ordinary people. These glow, illuminates the dark spirit's world, therefore attracts these wandering spirits to them.

These are 3 short stories that I love to share with you, but please be aware, do not read through if you are afraid of the dark. I won't be held responsible once you become a scaredy cat.

Story No. 1

Tina is a 76 years old housewife who lives in a village. As years passed by, as she grows older, one by one of her childhood friends passed away due to illness or because of an old age. The scary thing is, moments before her friends passed away, she will see them walking pass or standing in front of her house. Their faces are expressionless, that's how she knew that they are just spirits of her friends who came to see her for one last goodbye. Once she saw them, she immediately closed the house's doors and windows, afraid that the spirits might enter the house. Then she will cry her heart out, believing that another friend of her will left this world forever. She waited for the dreaded news to come, and surely enough, after a few hours, relatives of her friend will drop by her house to tell her the news.

Another scary thing is, when she came to visit her dead friend at their house, she would normally saw their spirits waiting by the roadside near the road junction to her friend's house. She doesn't dare to look at them as she walk pass, knowing that sometimes it was just a ghost in disguise, playing tricks on her just like her pasts experiences. If it's really a ghosts, once you looked at them, they will eventually turn into something scary. So, when she sees one, she just bows her head, and kept on walking. Everyone who walks near her knows something is wrong when they saw her walking with heads bowed and facing the other way. They'll get scared, became quiet, and walked closely almost hugging each other.

Story No. 2

Richard is a 35 year old guy, he doesn't have any permanent job as he doesn't like to be ordered around. He is still single and lives together with his old parents. All of his other siblings lives further away in the city where they are working. Richard loves his village life, he have a small vegetables farm, reared a few pigs and chickens, and scour the jungle for any vegetation, herbs and hunting small animals, enough to support his simple life together with his parents.

Since he was 7 years old, he was already able to see spirits and ghosts, but he grew accustomed to them as he grows up. The only thing that he hated the most is attending wedding functions, he would give a lot of excuses just to get away from it. Then one day he told me his reasons, reasons that I could never have expected. He said, whenever people gathers together and there are musics and foods, these spirits and ghosts loves to join along. He can see them wandering and mingling around living people, and sits together at the dining table. What he loathe the most is when these ghosts stared at him while he is eating. How can you have any appetite when you can smell their foul odor, and see worms and rotten flesh falling off from their faces? I've never forced or invited him to any party or wedding receptions ever since he told me that story.

Story No. 3

Gary is a really special guy. He is 33 years old and happily married to Helena, who is also a friend of mine. Gary loves to tell others about his ability to see spirits and ghosts. He always told us that he sees them all the time, and even interacted with them. He always makes people scared and worried whenever he seems to sense or see something. There was a time when we and a few friends were walking, he suddenly whispered "Poor guy, he is gravely ill now, he will die soon" while pointing with his eyes to a young skinny guy about 10 meters in front of us. We were astounded, then he explained, there are 3 spirits or ghosts trailing behind him, these spirits are sucking the life out of him, he said. We just kept quite and started to feel uncomfortable standing in-front or besides him.

Another story I heard from him is his encounters with the spirit of his brother in-law, the special thing about this story is it is the same as the plot in the movie "The Sixth Sense". The spirit didn't know that he is no longer belonged to the world of the living. When Gary was informed that his brother in-law Martin has passed away suddenly because of a heart attack, he hurriedly went to Martin's house to check it himself, not knowing that Martin's body has been taken to the hospital for post mortem. When he reached the house about 2 hours later, no one was there, everyone has gone to the hospital. He was about to give them a call when suddenly he heard like someone is inside the house, cooking in the kitchen. So he knocked on the door and waited, expecting someone to open it, but no one came. He can still hear the sound of someone cooking inside the house, so he walked to the nearest window facing the kitchen and saw his brother in-law Martin alive and healthy.

So he called out Martin, and Martin came nearer to the window to greet him. Then Gary said, "You looked fine to me, and your cooking smells so nice". Then Martin asked Gary, "Why do you think something is wrong with me? I was in the house cooking most of this time" he said. "I received a call, and was told that you have a heart attack and died", Gary said. "Who died?" asked Martin, "You!" said Gary. Then suddenly the expressions on Martin's face changed, he looks like in shock then he vanished into the thin air. Realizing what is happening, Gary was really in shock, he never experienced something like that before. He called the other family members, and they all confirmed that Martin is dead, and they are still waiting at the hospital. Gary quickly ran to his car and drove to the hospital, he didn't tell anyone about his encounter with Martin's spirit. He only told them about it, 3 days after the body is buried.
