I would like to share to everyone how special ramadan is to all muslims. This is the month every muslims are waiting for year round and the only month muslims will cry when it is gone. This post is also meant to remind me too....
I feel bless to be able to continue to enjoy Ramadan this year especially with my son who will be turning one soon... He was born last year during ramadan. :-)

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic Calendar. It is 'THE' holiest month in the calendar and full of blessings and opportunities for muslims around to world. During the month of Ramadan, muslims will abstain from food, drink and other pleasures from sunrise till sunset. During the month of Ramadan, muslims are supposed to create and instil new habits. It teaches us to be more self discipline and self control. If we are able to control these desires (which are normally allowed during the normal month) in this holy month of ramadan, then we can surely control ourselves from other desires which are "NOT PERMISSIBLE", throughout the remaining months.
Fasting is one of the FIVE PILLARS of Islam. It is one of the greatest acts of worship a believer can perform. It is an act that cleanses our mind, body and soul from the spiritual and physical impurities of this world.
Why we fast?
Firstly is because it is a command from Allah and an obligation upon every Muslim who is healthy, sane and past the age of puberty.
Secondly it is a means to attain Taqwa (God-Consciouscness)
The Blessings of Ramadan
- Doors to Jannah (Heaven) are open and the gates to Jahanam (Hell) are locked.
- All the Syaitan are chained.
- Allah frees someone from the hellfire, each night of Ramadan.
- The Quran was revealed during the month of Ramadan.
- The last ten night are the best blessings in the entire year.
- All good deeds will receive multiple more deeds during the month of ramadan compare to normal months.
