Found 3 unique products sold by Malaysians on eBay

in teammalaysia •  7 years ago  (edited)

While I was having dinner & watching Johnny English on Astro a while ago, I thought i'll share some products our Malaysian eBayers selling...

eBay came to Malaysia in 2004 and there were like 30 of us in Malaysia already selling on the international platform (including myself who was then a PowerSeller or now called Top Rated Seller).

Now there are more than 50,000 active sellers based in Malaysia. My guess is that less than 3,000 of them are serious sellers, the rest are just casual C2C sellers.

eBay is a great place so sell unwanted stuff or simple sell something you have passion with, your hobby... that's how I got started... selling all my Cross Stitch stash.

Seller #1: MyButterflyBugs (feedback rating 530)

Interesting isn't it. This is my first time seeing this... A Malaysia based eBayer selling this...

This product is very fragile so it's amazing that he has found a niche in eBay to sell it. His collection starts from USD$39 (excludes shipping, he also earned a few bucks from the shipping).

Seller #2: daigames (a top seller Plus rating with over 15k feedbacks - impressive)

Now, this is an opportunist seller... he/she sells card games... so on and off, can see that he/she also sells cosmetics and food products from Malaysia.

Interestingly, these range of Ah Huat 3 in 1 coffee sells at RM16.45 (in tesco) and daigames is selling it at USD$23.99 (about RM96). Shipping will cost him about RM49 (based on www.pos.com.my) for 600grams going to USA.

So his/her profit after taking PayPal and eBay commissions away, easily close to RM18 per pack. Sell that in 100 packs, RM1800 in profit!!!!

Seller #3: Hero.Harus.Tenang (Feedback rating 21)

Now this seller is not regular... but what amazes me is that he/she sells this talcum powder at USD$19!!! Tesco sells this at RM6.45

Shipping based on www.pos.com.my would be at RM32.40 (400g)

Easily his/her profit after taking eBay & PayPal commission away: RM37!! Mind blowing!
