As the year will be coming to a close in a few days, I did some reflection of the insights I have learned from this year. I have experience a tremendous transformation in my health and also my personal development and here are my top 10 in no specific order which has impacted my life.
1.) First thing first, focus on getting healthier, stronger and harness more personal energy. You will be able to do more and achieve more.
2.) Tough times is a test of your capability and inner strength.
3.) Always have a student mindset. We must constantly learn to adapt in this fast pace changing world
4.) Think big but focus on taking small actionable steps
5.) Have a big scary audacious goal that will scare you and excite you at the same time.
6.) Believe in the law of natural growth cycle. Everything has its own season. A time for seeding, a time for nurturing , a time for fruiting and a time to harvest.
7.) Always build on the four pillars of human dimension. Your physical, mental, emotion and spiritual. It is the main support pillar to achieving all your dreams. Inbalance in one pillar will affect the synergy of the other dimention.
8.) Help to build community and give value and wealth will come to you eventually.
9.) Everyone have their own agenda so don't be emotionally attached if they do not follow you.
10.) Transformation becomes easier with the right knowledge. So strive to gain the right knowledge and open your mind to unlearn distorted beliefs.
Great stuff! I would like to add on for point #6 - choose your hardship.
Yes, everything has a law of natural growth, but if one spend too much time sharpening a skill and still enjoy little success, it's probably better to just focus the time and energy on sharpening something else.
John Maxwell once told me that if he scores himself 2 out of 10 at singing, and goes for singing practice all the time, he will only grow by 2 points in 2 years, making it 4/10. Hobby is fine, but no one wants to pay for average.
However, if you are already 7/10 at public speaking, and spend 2 years to push it up to 9/10, people would queue up to hear a 9/10 speaker.
