When I was a kid, I really love to watch martial art movies. Especially if the movies stars martial artist like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jean Claude Van Damne, Gary Daniels, Daniel Bernhardt, Bolo Yeaung, Sammo Hung, Donnie Yen, Jet Lee...If i were to name them all, I think it will be a really long list.
I can say that did quite good in martial arts. I was even named & chosen as candidate for "Pasukan Pelapis" for Malaysia team for back in year 2001. But my mom are against me practicing martial arts and participating in tournament.
Being young and stubborn, I did participate, but it was always behind her back. (Sorry mom :P). Just so that my mom won't know that I participate, my medals and trophies are kept by my friend.
That was in the past...
Moving forward to 2018, now I'm in my mid 30s, getting older and slower. I felt that I need to start working out. Recently while I was heading home from client site, I saw a signboard at shop-lot named "Izza MMA". Intrigue, I stop by to take a look inside the place.
Wow, amazed I am. The place is not that big, but it is well padded and equiped for martial arts training center. Seeing the place, I feel an old feeling that I haven't felt for quite sometime.
I've enquired for the monthly fee and registration fee. The fees are divided as below:
RM195 per month. Plus one time registration fee of RM195. You are entitled for 4 visits per week and can attend to any classes.
6 months lump sum: RM175 per month for 6 months. (Free handwrap + mouthpiece + tshirt)
1 year lump sum :155 per month for 1 year (Free handwrap + mouthpiece + tshirt)
I'm thinking of getting the free trial before deciding to register with them
Definitely get the free trial first! Most schools/training centers offer that so you can get a taste of what training there is like (in the one I train in, they offer an entire trial week, but you should get offered at least one trial lesson or class in the place you want to sign up).
In that way you can test if the environment, quality, style and focus of the training are right for you. Also, pay attention to the behavior of the people you are training with, and don't be shy to ask them questions about the place and if they would recommend joining in. Good luck!
