AN ORGANIZERS PRIDE

in teammalaysia •  7 years ago  (edited)

Being an organizer/promoter for an event isn't easy. Especially if it's a DIY kind of event.

You fork out your own money, you hustle between work and the event paper works, you struggle in delegating with the bands during their stay in town, you get extreme emotional breakdowns (really extreme), etc.

To summarize, your work your ass off so hard to hopefully ( and I mean really being hopeful ) that the show gets a green light and running smoothly through the whole event. What's better? You don't make a cent of profit even after collecting ticket sales from everyone.

But why do we do it?

Passion. Love. Friendship. Comradery.

This is what keeps the local music scene alive.
