To blog or not to blog? If blog, then what to blog? If not to blog, then end of the story.steemCreated with Sketch.

All this while, way before Steemit, even before tsu... I know that blogging is one of the way to make money online. But I have always been in denial of myself blogging...

WHY? Well, first of all, traditionally (before Steemit), to be able to make money through blogging, the most important thing is traffic... I need to have traffic, HUGE traffic visiting my blog only then I get to make money... This is what I know... Correct me if I am wrong...

But then came tsu, if you have been tsuing, I came to learn that everything we created actually worth something... And everyone can do it... Coz many of us are actually creating contents every day in our social media accounts... With tsu, we are being rewarded with our original content..

Then from my tsu friends, I found Steemit... Ok, I joined early this year, but then because of the sudden death of tsu, I didn't put effort and be active here in Steemit. I am afraid I would get hurt a second time. So I joined and straight away went into hibernation mode... For six months...

With encouragement from my tsu friends, I started to really look into Steemit. And I am glad to have found a group of new friends here... And this time I have no reason not to blog...

It's easier than I thought... To be able to sustain here in Steemit, the most important element is good quality original content... Then the next is good quality attitude. Definition of good quality attitude is be a good Steemian, by upvoting good quality posts, leaving good quality comments and resteeming good quality posts... Only with the good quality attitude, we will be in a win-win-win situation... When we have the two elements mentioned above, we will rise and shine here in Steemit...

So since we have choose to blog... What to blog? How to get ideas to blog? I think this is one of the main challenges that stop many of us to blog... It did stop me before... But then I found out, actually ideas are everywhere around us... It's just how we interpret and put them down into words... If not all words, we can choose to capture them in photos or videos...

For myself, my posts will be about things I like... For example, mobilephotography of the sky, trees, flowers, food (if I remember to shoot before I eat them up)... About my precious princesses... Our art and crafts projects... And also about MyBitcoinJourney...

So you have to find out what you like and have passion in... And then you share about how you feel, what you experience and maybe why you wanna share this with us... Ask questions and answer them... That will be the content of your posts...

This is just my two cents... Hopefully this will give you some ideas to kick start your Steemit journey...

I was at the bookstore last weekend... And saw this motivational quote notebook... And I think Magic does and will happen when we follow our heart... It's happening to me and my friends here in Steemit...

So if you haven't start Steeming, why not listen to your heart and start...

With love and hugs...

Hey... Well said darling.

Thank you

After Tsu I remember wondering why anyone in their right mind would use any social media site that didn't compensate them for their original content. I'd see friends get so excited over some likes on IG and I'd just shrug my shoulders and ask them, "How much did IG pay you for that?" ;) lol.I JUST found out about steemit because I lost touch with most of my Tsu family after they shut down on us. I'm thrilled to have been told about it and thrilled to be here :)

(waving) Hi hi!... I have the same doubt too... FB, IG, Twitter all the same... Even WhatsApp... When I found out about the concept of revenue sharing... I will always look for app and platform rewarding us for our effort of creating original content... And great thing is I found Steemit and WowApp. :)

The only difference is that Steemit, for example over here, it is totally non privacy. So for those who prefers privacy will still stick to the comfort zone. Here, we are exposed as celebrities. This is our public profiles. For as long as Internet shall live. :)

well... a lot of people expose themselves in FB or IG...
we can be exposed and yet still keep some privacy... it depends on what we share here in our post and profile... like for myself... everyone here will know that I am a mother of 3 girls.. everyone will know their name (just their English name...)... everyone will be able to see them (but just their back or side or maybe blurred photos...) this is still in my comfort zone...

Yeah, keep our kids out of the loop. A lot of people do not know the dangers of unprotected social media

It's scary to think of what may or might happen because of the social media... Even though with privacy set to just share with friends, unless we really filter who to be our friends... If not, I think it's still not private...

tsu?

Yup... Tsu... Was the first revenue sharing social media platform I joined... Met a lot of awesome and cool friends there... I met @littlenewthings @ackhoo there... And many others too...

If TSU was formed in the blockchain, then it would have stayed alive. But then again, it was imploding.

Yes to make money blogging you need targeted traffic (not just traffic) and if you have lots of them, then your profits go up. I don't normally blog about travel, but that changed after I joined Steemit lol. Never heard of Tsu before this..

Tsu was a good place and it's where I learnt about the concept of revenue sharing... and then everyone of us has the capability of creating good original content...
Steemit makes it easier for all of us to be able to enjoy the piece of cake... :D

So true, there is always so much happening around us, we just need to be creative to turn something mundane to a quality post.

yup.. exactly... everyone of us are capable of creating good content... just need to be creative.. and also put in effort and time.. :D

resteemed. Great post ^_^

Thank you! Appreciated! 😘

I could not agree with you more on about how ideas to write posts are all around us. In our daily lives, and in the stories all around us. The most important thing is to write something your passionate about. When I do so, the words fly on the paper and it is easy to write. Actually, it is harder to stop. Some times I have to stop myself because I would write 4-5 pages. But for the reader's sake on Steemit here I have to keep it shorter so its not time consuming for my readers.

I also love this statement from your article:

"So if you haven't start Steeming, why not listen to your heart and start..."

This is the best advice you can give to someone when just starting on Steemit. People feel when you write with your heart. They can feel it in the words you write. :)

Amazing post my friend. :) Upv and Rst. :)

Thank you! Appreciated! And you are one of the best Steemian I look up to... I love reading your posts...

Awww thank you, Eliza. Means a lot. The feeling is mutual here. Love reading your posts as well. :)

OMG what happened to TSU?? I was literally among the first users of the site but I was never active. Too many spammers put me off. Same here on Steemit but at least I could ignore them though it started to get on my nerve lately - "I upvoted you, upvote me back" OMG those comments are driving me crazy and I even received Facebook messages from these needy people lately grrrrrrr....LOL sorry for ranting but I am glad to meet you here ;)

I totally feel you.. I can't get it either why some just won't get it and keep sending upvoted you, upvote back... Followed You, follow back... I just ignore them... If they don't comment like that, there is a chance of me visiting their page and eventually follow them... But once they do that, I may not do so anymore... I am glad to meet you here too!

Exactly @elizacheng . It really turns me off. Like there are not sincere in reading (if they read lah) our posts and want something in return from us. They don't care about the content and just want to make money. I don't think they know how Steemit works. The more we vote the more useless our votes will be, no value. I don't think they understand that. That is why I am very selective of whom I vote but Team Malaysia has a lot of great quality posts it's hard not to vote EVERYTHING LOL and my voting power is quite depleted these days :P

Same here... Trying to vote as many good posts as I can... but still have to preserve my VP... so that my vote can at least have some value...

Tsu closed down.. Heard is due to financial problem..

Too bad. The revenue sharing model they had was not sustainable. Probably getting lesser and lesser advertisers. Same thing happened to Bubblews. The worst was Squidoo where I made quite a lot of $ before Google algo changes. Not sure about Steemit. Block chain technology seems to be very robust and doesn't depend on the whim of Google gods or advertisers. But what do I know. Let's have fun while it last.

I wrote in Bubblews before too... but never got a chance to cash out yet... and then it's gone... same with Tsu... coz I was donating quite a lot.. so I haven't reach my minimum to cashout and it's gone...

Same here. I almost reach the payout threshold and poofff it's gone :/
