Yes @ranjitavelan, my Mom also use these when we were young. Usually she will rub the tumeric on a rough stone (stone mortar or batu lesung in Malay), and mix the paste with white lime stone paste (Kapur sirih in Malay) and then just rub the mixed paste on the bridge of the nose so as to dry the runny nose (this is when we were babies and unable to take the taste of the tumeric), as we get older yes we mix it with honey, and just take a teaspoon of the mixture, didn't add any milk with it. And I have a friend whose been using these as well with their toddlers now, but they use the powder tumeric (not so spicy), mix with honey.
Those kampong days we can't afford medicine and so we always use natural remedies to treat the common sickness which now the modern medicine (organic) are using exactly that! With that in mind I think I should ask my Mom now to tell us what other remedies that she use on us so that I can write it down and keep it for all my nieces and nephews so that they can pass it on.

Yes @noriaakip. People are moving too fast ahead and been relying on modern medicine. The natural remedies are far more effective and is without much side effects.
