Why am I talking about Misai Kuching Tea?

I never thought I will be talking about Misai Kuching Tea but it does taste good! Thanks to Jolyn for giving me the tea as a gift when I caught up with her last week. Jolyn is a Service Learning Coordinator in MCKL. For the last few months, she has been spending her time doing volunteering work together with a group of international volunteers in a community in Batu Arang.

What is it in Batu Arang?

According to Jolyn, there is a community in Batu Arang that provides free shelter, treatment as well as support to people who were rejected due to their illnesses such as HIV/AIDS. the community is known as Positive Living Community. Is there anything the public can do to support them?

As what Jolyn has mentioned to me, they were looking for alternative source of income that can help to sustain the residents there. One of it is through the sales of Misai Kuching Tea that was grown there. As we all know, Misai Kuching Te has its own unique therapeutic values. If you don't mind them not having a Halal stamp on it, please do support them if you can.
