Is it a success if people say it is?

For today’s topic, I have chosen to write about a topic relating to ‘Success is an illusion’.
When people mention that you’re successful in life, in what way do they mean that? Based on how much money you’re making? Or perhaps with your living your life with a happy family?

First of all, what is success? What does it define as? Success can mean the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. When you put a target on what you want to achieve, you would be determined on reaching it no matter what challenges would be in the way. What makes it different if you decided to not make it as your target, would you still be able to accomplish it? The answer to that is all a mind-set. Humans often try their hardest once they have something to aim for. Very few have no aim and whatsoever but still manage to get very successful subconsciously. But people like these often felt an emptiness inside them as they accomplish something.

Over the years, people have gotten the mindset to have all these life objectives due to it being the norm. No one proceeds in life without anything to achieve. A part of it is also because it is a part of human nature to have an objective. After completing one, we will jump to the next one. A never-ending chain of accomplishment. One of the reasons for achievement is also based on people's expectations on us.

Also, I would like to point out that everyone has their own different definition when it comes to being successful in life. If you think about it, when a thief has finally been able to steal something valuable, it is a success for them. Some think of it as having a stable job, having a happy family and even in education. Imagine if people didn’t take that as their aim, would they still be successful afterward? People will still have to find a job eventually. Our parents and other relatives would still want us to get married and have a family. Whether you like it or not, parents and teachers want us to be successful in our education despite what and how we feel about studying. Why is it so different when you decided to have an aim on something and not to have any aim?

Human’s mind-set works in a way that they will try the best that they can when they have some kind of objective to accomplish. It’s not something physical, it’s all mental. In order to get success people to have to question themselves. What do I want? What do I need to do? What will happen? Will it be worth it? It’s a matter of setting your mind on an objective so that you won’t back down halfway and be motivated. In the end, it's all an illusion created by ourselves.

A successful person never waited for people to give them applause, they do it because they decided that they want to do it.

That is all from me, what do you think?
Do you believe that success is just a mindset that people have gotten used to over the years?
Till next time, Sayonara(。・∀・)ノ゙
