Boats in the Lisman Landing Marina

First off I will apologize ( probably again) for the boring titles for my post, I see others with great original and creative titles for posts and photos but that is something I struggle with

For this post I am sharing a few shots of Boats docked, or moored, or whatever is the correct term for boats tied up in the Lisman Landing Marina in downtown Milford, in the warmer months on weekend it is a popular spot and most of the slips are full, and we get some really nice boats coming in for the weekend, the landing is right downtown, so its easy for people to dock here and be within easy walking distance of the many restaurants and pubs and other shops downtown.

Another shot of the same area on a different weekend, the brick building on the background is the office building for the Lisman Landing marina, some very classy looking boats were docked there at this time.

And this last shot admittedly not a great one and one I almost deleted, is taken one weekend when there was one of the many events held on the Fowler field which is on the other side of the river from the boats,where there would be many vendors and bands playing, as you can see it is common to often see the boaters setup their deck chairs and have a little sort of like street party atmosphere on the docks.

Off course these shots are from back in the warmer seasons the docks are all empty now

Yes the flags are a clear sign that this is not in Europe, other than that it does have a European feel

Oh, I love the water life! It is such a different atmosphere and I grew up on Long Island Sound, to the sound of the waves lapping the shores.

It's funny but, you are right. It is like a street party, all of their own. I have lived on the water several times since I left home Every night, walking up to the pier (which was only two doors down) you bring a lawn chair and beverage and sit and chat like old people! It was really fun. I think your photos show some of that and show off some of those fine vessels!

there is nothing like the waves rolling into the shore it is so calming and relaxing and when I am most at peace hearing them as I walk along the Beach
