I publish this work for a first time. Thisi is one of my sculptures I've made with owl as a subject. It is basically made of ordinary wooden logs and the face is made up of one type of clay. I do not often make a sculpture like this because I'm waiting for a moment in which I really will have some new idea that refers to the very expression and species of owl I want to show.
Prvi put objavljujem ovaj moj rad, jednu od mnogo skulptura koje sam napravio na temu sova. U osnovi je napravljena od obične drvene cepanice a lice je dorađeno jednom vrstom gline. Ne pravim često ovakve skulpture jer čekam momenat u kom ću zaista imati neku novu ideju koja se odnosi na sam izraz i vrstu sove koju želim da prikažem.

So you spread the clay on the carved wood and paint it?

Yes it some sort of clay (das mass). A regular clay is not good for that. When I finish sculpturing I paint them and than varnish it.
