Kažu da će kašalj prestati ako se svakih 15 minuta pije po šoljica vruće vode. Voda svaki put mora da provri.
Ako popijete mlako ,(ugrijano), pivo.
Ako rastopite kašiku šećera da požuti, ne smije biti smđ, pa dodati šolju mlijeka, kad mlijeko provri dodati komadić maslaca veličine oraha, kad se maslac rastopi popiti što toplije.
U borbi sa kašljem pomoće čaj od biljaka: daninoć, divizma , dunja, zelenkada,limun, lincura,islandski lišaj,podbjel, cvijet crni sljez,oman,čkalj,razgon i čubar.
