Stone Eagle [My Old Digital Artwork]

A friend of mine told me about his trip tour around Italy. He was the most impressed by the people in the southern region. He says that they are calm, lazy and doesn't care about anything, unlike people in northern Italy, who just work. Here's what he said about them:

"We come into the bookstore, and saleslady drinks a coffee. Not only does she drinks a coffee, she asks us do we want a coffee."

Another impression was the fact that all Italians are divided into two political lines, fascist and communist. It is illustrated by the story about Latina and Secce. Latina is a city built by Mussolini, and everyone is fascist there. On the hill upon Latina is Secce village, and everyone is communist there. Someone from Secce came to Latina and was killed there. After that murder, inhabitants of Secce stated to dig tranches towards Latina preparing for war.

The friend visited Latina and told me about the fascistic architecture of the city. All the building are made in the way to represent power and stability, like military barracks. I'm not politically and ineologically burdened, but I was interested to see the fascist architecture that I never had the opportunity to see. So, internet gave me the opportuniti to see pictures of buildings and monuments in Latina. As fascism is socialism in the basics, it's architecture is similar to social realism. I downloaded some pictures of the city. Statue of ancient Roman eagle was the most interesting to me, so I made some interventions using photoshop. Original image has died together with my old hard disc.
