Adventure with the dad <3

So i would like to about that one time we went on a father-daughter hike. I like to call our bonding time -> 007 ... because, you know, Bond.... Anyways, it was one of those memories I would never forget!

The Friday afternoon we drove through to the Drakenberg Mountain, where we did the Sentinal Peak hike. We slept over the night, at the car park in a small little house with bunk beds and a bathroom. We made some fire, had a lekker braai (bbq for those that don't know) and went to bed early.

The Saturday we got up early and hit the road!

Everything was beautiful, it was fun and not too difficult. Every now and then we stopped to have lunch or snacks and to take in the beautiful views... Our next stop was the chain ladders, which is the last climb to get to the TOP. There were 2 different ladders to choose from, the one that is bolted to the mountain and the one that was not. The adventurer in me chose the not so stable one (it was awesome). When we got to the top, we were surrounded with clouds and could not see further then 10 meters.... So we marched on to get to our spot were we would set up our tents. This was a bit scary considering we were on top of a mountain and couldn't really see where we going ... we could've walked in circles? ....
Luckily my dad 'sort off' remembered the way since he has done it before in his younger days.

I don't think i have ever been so cold like that night, sleeping on a 2cm thin 'mattress', literally freezing my ass off.
The next morning i was exhausted but we woke up early to catch the sunrise.

And then the sun appeared over the horizon. It was beautiful, one of those unforgettable moments....

After taking in the beauty, we looked around as the sun cleared everything up, we could actually see, and the views where great!

After playing around and having a quick breakfast we packed up and headed down the mountain.
That was the Best 007 moment with my dad up to date..... Hopefully we can top that soon :D
