In a family, there is an old grandfather living with a son, a son-in-law and a grandson. The grandfather's vision was blurred. He can not hear well. His knees are already starting to shake. If he sits near the dining table, he can no longer hold the spoon. Sometimes he forgot the soup on the tablecloth. From inside his mouth always the soup flowed out again.
Her son and daughter-in-law were disgusted by it. So the old man finally sat alone in the corner behind a fireplace. They feed only with small bowls. He often does not get enough to eat and drink and of course he remains hungry and thirsty. He saw what was on the table sadly, then came his tears.
One time, his old fingers could no longer hold the bowl. The bowl fell and broke. Her daughter-in-law cursed and berated. But the old man did not say a word. He let it, it all happened. Then they bought him a plate made of wood with a price that is not too expensive. Now with the wooden plates the old man had to eat. This wooden plate can make the old man more calm because it can not break. One day his four-year-old grandson collected the logs on the ground.
What are you doing, son? his father asked
"I'm making a wooden plate," his son replied innocently, "with this plate my father and mother will eat, when I'm old."
A moment later his father and mother stared at each other and they began to cry. Ever since that incident they have always brought the old grandfather to the table, to eat together. If he is hungry or thirsty, they immediately bring food and drink for him. They say nothing, when little food or drink spills onto the floor.
Hopefully this story can be a reminder to us, that how annoying, even worse than that our feelings towards our parents ... ..we should know that they are the ones who have given birth to us.
