FIRST CHRISTENING ANNIVERSARY OF MY DAUGHTER

Today we celebrate the first anniversary of my daughter's Christening. An almost five months of waiting since she was born before she got baptized.

Me and my Husband were both happy at that time because finally she became a full Christian. Yes it took us almost 5 months because we need to save and earn enough money for the Baptism. It isn't expensive but it is costly. We spent much during the birth of my daughter at the hospital. The bills and the medications I need to take and other needs of a First-time nursing Mother.

But never mind the pain and the big expenses, what's more important was my baby is healthy and I had a Normal delivery of her. God was really there, helping me overcome the excruciating pain of labor! A Big Thanks to Him!

From what I've learned during the Pre-Jordan seminar at that time, it's not only birthdays are to be celebrated but also the day you were baptized. So from now on we will annually celebrates her baptism.

It's not a tradition for Catholics like me but I know some do practice the same way. Catholics are Christians too, by the way.
