TEARDROPS: Missing My Grandson So Much - Teardrops of a Grandmother

They say the best thing is being a grandparent. I thought I was lucky to be a parent. But when I became a grandmother, you can not describe the feelings you feel. For me it was hard because my daughter lives in the US and I am in the Philippines. As much as I wanted to be with her I can't. My tears fall down whenever she has problems and whenever I see my grandson on video calls.

I was grateful they were able to come home this Jan to celebrate his first birthday and baptism. With the help of #steemit and #upfundme I was able to help my daughter with some of the expenses.

Now they are back in the US but I still get to see the growth of my grandson even though far away thru the video calls.

Now when I feel sad, lonely, depressed and crying, I just watch some videos over and over, the most recent because he is walking and to see the expressions on his face.

To see and hear his surprised seeing a balloon and other things at the grocery makes me smile.

See him point, oh how I wish I was with him. #Teardrops fall again

Now he can walk on his own. A little unstable but can walk fast. He is enjoying waling around and seeing a lot of things at the grocery.

This is the only sad part of being a grandmother if you are far from your family. So again I am hoping they can come home next year, this time in March on my 60th birthday. It will be the best gift ever. I still have my mom to watch over so I can not leave her yet.
