Jukskei for a soutpiel. Old traditions never die, South Africa Style!

Hey everyone, what an epic get away to an amazing little town if you will for the week. I am not sure if any of my South African Steemit mates have ever heard of a little gem in the bush between Louis Trichardt and Alldays deep in the Northern Province (Limpopo) bush tucked away after a very long bumpy dust road called So Ya? Yes that is literally the name of the 'complex' it is a little glorious place of dreams, where crime has no place (and does not exist) and peace and tranquility reign!

I have just got back from the most amazing epic five days of my life what a highlite, we played everything from darts, to canasta, we swam, ran, walked, hiked and drank, but we also played a legendary 'old school' game of Afrikaans origins called 'Jukskei' The idea is to knock out the stake in the ground or get your 'skei' or 'skey' in English as close to it as possible and what a blast we had doing it. The table was 'set' and the game was on. It was @annelienqueenb and myself against her folks. I have never in my life not only not seen a 'jukskei baan' but never thought I would ever partake, how mistaken was I, and what fun was had by all.

Here I am having a go, not bad for an English Lad who has never played before, been rather sporty myself however caught on fast and @annelienqueenb and myself took the win ;)

What better way to celebrate a win around an awesome bush fire in Africa's wild idyllic setting with a legendary cold beer.
