Rack - A great new open source modular synth software

I just discovered this amazing new open source piece of software.
It allows you to add modular synth rack modules and patch them to create crazy sounds.
A really great way to experiment with modular synthesis without having to buy all the modules.

To get started quickly:

  • Download/install the software
  • Right click somewhere in Rack, then add:
  • Fundamentals -> VCO1
  • Place it somewhere
  • Also add VC Mixer
  • And Core -> Audio interface.

Now patch:

  • VCO-1 SAW to the VC-mixer's CH1.
  • CH1 out to the Audio Interface Output 1
  • Turn up the volume on the VC mixer CH1 out

You should now here a saw wave.
