REDMI Y1 vs NOKIA 2: WHICH IS BETTER?

Nokia 2 just launched a few days back, following this launch Xiaomi launched its new Y series focusing on an entirely different sector of customers. Both of these phones come under the budget category. Which one is better? Well, the answer lies on what you expect from your device. Let's compare the two devices and find out the better pick!

The device has one of the best fronts in the given price range (at least on paper). The Redmi Y1 comes with a 16MP front camera with a front facing flash. As you can see the phone is purely made for social media purposes. If the company proves what it claims then the phone is a dream come true for the teenagers out there. With the Snapdragon 435 packed into it, the phone will give you a smooth experience while using it. The display is not that bad either, it's a 5.5" HD display. Why buy Nokia 2?

Great Design + Stock android experience
The device has a great design and feels really great in hand. The Nokia 2 comes with a pure Android version with no bloatware as such. This phone is perfect for those who are not fond of the MIUI.
The phone comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. With a 4100 mAh battery, the Nokia 2 helps you get a long session if needed.The phone chose to give a 5 inch LTPS LCD display. The Snapdragon 212 packed into it works fine and provides you a good experience with the phone. Quite on the lower end, the phone gives you 1GB RAM with an 8GB internal storage and a microSD slot expandable up to 128GB. The phone does not have any wow factor to show-off but given its price, the specs go pretty well.

Personal Preference or the verdict

Still confused? Well, in my perspective the Redmi Y1 passes with flying colors!! The Nokia 2, on the other hand, seems to be on the lower edge. I would recommend the Redmi Y1 unless you are completely against the MIUI. The phone gives you decent specs with just a little more money over the Nokia 2. Just that little amount of money could get you a better screen, processor, camera and most important of all storage!! No doubt the Nokia 2 started to lag on its first use itself. The specs cleared it all, Remi Y1 is the better choice for sure!
