Thoughts on Apple's iMac Pro

As a rough estimate, it seems to be priced at about a 40% premium over a similarly configured Windows box, would you agree? While it is nice to see Mac isn't laying down and surrendering, it seems unlikely that this is enough to keep Mac from continuing to lose market share. The other major issue in addition to initial purchase price is the difficulty of upgrading and repairing.

To be fair, they aren't losing market share in the consumer market, it's just the professional market. As for price premium, it doesn't matter as it's a unique product. Surface Studio and HP Z1 are both very expensive too. That said, sure, you could probably build something with the same performance for half the price, if you wanted.
