Energizer is lending its brand name to a new smartphone, the Energizer Power Max 600s. It’s not the first time that the battery company has lent it’s name to a communications device, but this might be the first one to fall within the brand identity of long lasting batteries.

The Power Max 600s befittingly features a large 4,500mAh battery that promises “over 12 hours of use, and 16 hours of standby”. Thanks to a power-saving mode, it can be stretched longer if needed and topped up quickly with Fast Charging via the USB Type-C connector.

On the front of the device is a 5.99-inch 1080p+ display with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio. Powering the Power Max 600s is a MediaTek Helios P25 SoC. Two models will be available – a Black with 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and a Blue with 6GB RAM / 64GB storage. Both models will have microSD for more storage expansion.

Out of the box it will run Android Nougat 7.0, with no news of possible upgrades to Oreo. No price or availability announcement has been made yet, nor is it expected to appear in local stores.
