Welcome in a bit delayed #technofriday caused by yesterday's home party with a bunch of friends. Beside typical bullshiting conversations, beers, social games, beers, card games and beers we have found a moment to check the upcoming gigs in Rotterdam and realized that only a millionaire with the teleportation abilities is able to attend on every interesting party in upcoming weeks. Active and live discussion grew up around the topic of the most interesting artists which we suppose to check. Few days ago you could read the newest, 13th episode of RAVING FOXES about Ancient Methods so it shouldn't surprise that I was convincing everybody that Ancient Methods @ Perron, Rotterdam 9.03.19 is an absolute must and considering UVB & Adam X at the same place one week later 16.03.19. Last party in February is also interesting over there - Perron on 23.02 will host Phace Fatale & Boston 168. @MissFoxy was more into the pounding techno of Speedy J, Amelie Lens, Paula Temple, I Hate Models @ Rotterdamse Rave 29.03.19. Unfortunately for some, and fortunately for the others, not everybody shares our passion for the hard and emotional techno and industrial, so we had an opportunity to explore a bit closer the miscellaneous sides of the house music represented by BICEP which is going to play in Now&Wow Rotterdam on 8.03.19. British born and based DJ, record label owner and producer, warmly and very positively described by my friend, was completely unknown for me, even with the fact that James Zabiela has gained the popularity already in 2000 for winning Muzik Magazine's Bedroom Bedlam competition and Best Bedroom Bedlam DJ 2001, and received invitation into the Sasha's Excession agency. With 7 EPs and over two dozens of released mixes over almost two decades he designed a globally known signature style which is a fusion of every variation of House, Techno and Breakbeat music. While listening to his recent DJ sets on Soundcloud I really enjoyed turntable skills of smooth mixing tech house tracks with the wild acid energizers so after that and positive opinions of my friend who has already a pleasure to listen James Zabiela live, I am looking forward to dig deeper and explore his older mixes. Lucky for the foxes, James Zabiela is coming to Rotterdam to play an exclusive 3h set in TOFFLER on 23.02.19, so to keep the balance between brightness and darkness, our next weekend is going to be devoted for the more clubbing & energetic techno sounds hosted by mr. James.
