Huawei just launched officially the P20 and P20 Pro as their latest flagships. According to DXoMark the P20 Pro has the best camera on a smartphone and is not just one. There are three on the back and one on the front with the trending Iphonish "notch".
The triple-camera system of the P20 Pro has a RGB camera with 40 MP, a monochrome 20 MP sensor and a telephoto 8 MP that has image stabilization. The revolutionary camera system offers 3x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. The front camera is "just" 24 MP.
It features the same slow motion option as the Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2 at 960 fps and only 720p. The compared Samsung and Sony models can record videos at 1080p. Huawei launched a P20 Lite version also that is already on sale at a lower price and power specs at the same time.
Changes in the design from the previous model have brought a notch from Iphone and a fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the display that can play the role of a home button also. For the ones hating the notch there is a display option that "fills" the space around the notch with...just black color.
Both the P20 and P20 Pro will come in four colors: black, blue, twilight and rose gold. The chipset used is the same Kirin 970 chipset that is present in the Mate 10 also. The P20 Pro has 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage and 4000 mah battery while the cheaper version has only 4 GB of RAM and 3400 mah battery.
They P20 has a 5.8" display while the Pro versions comes with a 6.1", both having a resolution of 1080p. Besides the 2k resolution the latest Huawei flagships lack also of a headphone jack and a memory card slot. The newest EMUI 8.1 Interface will roll on top of the Android 8.1 Oreo.
Both flagships are water and dust resistant and are available for €850 for the Pro version and €650 for the not so Pro P20 model.
