It can get loud but can’t produce much bass.
If you care about sound, an external soundbar or speakers is the way to go.
So overall, the Vizio P Series Quantum is the best LCD TV we’ve tested and is priced very aggressively.
Depending on your use though, some of these other TVs may be worth considering.
The P Series 2018 is the step below in the Vizio lineup.
While it shares many similarities, the Quantum is a better TV.
It can get brighter and has better reflection handling in a bright room, and has a wider color gamut for HDR.
The LG C8 is an OLED TV with impressive performance.
It is better in a dark room than the Vizio as it can produce perfectly deep blacks, and also remains accurate when viewed at an angle so is better for wide seating.
In a bright room though, the Vizio can get much brighter to overcome glare and can produce more pop in HDR content.
The Q9FN is the top tier model from Samsung.
The Vizio is a bit better overall due to the higher peak brightness and better motion handling.
Gamers though may prefer the Samsung for the variable refresh rate support when gaming and the low input lag with motion interpolation.
It can also display smoother gradients.
The Sony X900F is a great TV, but doesn’t have as good picture quality or performance as the Quantum.
The Vizio can get brighter and has better reflection handling to overcome glare.
It also has lower input lag and better motion handling for gaming.
