The technology of combined windings “Slavyanka” is a revolutionary invention of the Russian engineer Dmitry Duyunov, thanks to which the most common type of electric motors in the world (three-phase asynchronous electric motors) acquires unique characteristics in terms of efficiency, power and reliability.
The effectiveness of Slavyanka has been confirmed by dozens of patents and verified over the years by hundreds of wrappers using Duyunov’s technology every day to repair electric motors. ✅Electrotransport
Electric cars, motorcycles, bicycles, public transport with Duyunov engines demonstrate increased power and lower electricity consumption compared to factory engines. Experts have calculated: if you upgrade the engines of trolleybuses alone in Moscow using Slavyanka technology, you can save at least 61.5 million kWh per year!

✅ Power tool
Duyunov induction motors can also be used in power tools. The use of Slavyanka technology in this area leads to an improvement in the user characteristics of the tool. Comparative tests of an electric angle grinder at Slavyanka UShM 230 / 2100M and a conventional angle grinder showed that the upgraded tool had a lower noise level, a “behavior” of the gearbox changed, and cutting quality improved. These changes increase comfort when working with the machine.

✅ Industrial equipment
The modernization of asynchronous motors involved in industrial equipment causes a significant improvement in the productivity of equipment: with less energy consumption, the power of the units increases, which on an industrial scale leads to enormous energy savings. The wear and tear of equipment during use is also reduced by reducing vibration and overheating.
There are many successful examples of the introduction of Duyunov engines at industrial facilities. One of them was, for example, the motor of the 5AI160M2U2 drainage pump with an output of 18.5 kW, the electric motor of 15 kW equipment at a quarry in Belgrade, the electric motor 5AM280S8Y3 of the ventilation unit of the underground tunnel ventilation in St. Petersburg.

✅ Mining industry
Duyunov’s technology is applicable in oil and gas production, metallurgy and other industries. A vivid example: the Duyunov engine doubled the productivity of Donetsk miners with a significant reduction in energy consumption. Instead of a standard 11 kW diesel engine DRT-13, the Era mine electric locomotive installed the Slavyanka induction motor and a Curtis brand controller. Before replacing the motor, an electric drive with an asynchronous motor towed five trolleys with coal, and after modernization it began to pull 11 already, including when climbing uphill. Transporting 100 tons of coal, the engine does not overheat and maintains its standard temperature despite a twofold increase in load.

In some areas, motors with combined windings have not yet been tested in practice, but have great potential.
✅ Housing and communal services
Induction motors are widely used in housing and communal services and are the main consumers of energy in this area. Important elements of urban life support systems work on them: pumps, compressors, fans, centrifuges, smoke exhausters, elevators. Housing and utilities urgently needs to optimize the use of energy resources, this is especially true for residents of Russia and other countries with a cold climate. Many major cities in the world have switched or are going to switch to intelligent digital control systems, one of the basic principles of which is energy conservation. The Slavyanka technology can drastically reduce electricity consumption in the housing and utilities sector, as well as provide tremendous savings in servicing engines that will need to be repaired much less frequently. It is not for nothing that the authorities of those cities that really care about energy saving have already turned their attention to technology. For example, the administration of Kaluga and Obninsk, where the Smart City system is being actively implemented, intend to cooperate with SovElMash and introduce Duyunov engines within the framework of the state program.

Asynchronous motors are in any home. And most of them can be replaced with motors with combined windings. Just imagine that washing machines, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, electric meat grinders will work much quieter and serve significantly longer than existing equipment, while their cost will not increase!
