Tecno W3 VS iTel A32F: Affordable smartphones under N27,000 ($77). Affordability is one of the key reasons why Phone brands like Tecno, Infinix, and iTel are very popular in Nigeria and Africa at large. iTel recently released a smartphone called iTel A32F with a fingerprint sensor for a reasonable price of $58 (N20,300). A device which the company tagged “fingerprint for everyone”. Not sure you’ll come across a smartphone with a fingerprint sensor at such price range.!
Tecno W3 VS iTel A32F – The Display
On the display of the iTel A32F is a 5.0 inch IPS LCD touchscreen, 69% screen-to-body ratio, 480 x 640 pixels resolution and 195 pixels per inch density. While the display of the Tecno W3 features a 5.0-inch FWVGA touchscreen, 480 x 854 pixels resolution and 196 pixels per inch density. The FWVGA touchscreen on the Tecno W3 is outdated now and its display won’t be as sharp and bright like the IPS LCD touchscreen on the iTel A32F.
Tecno W3 VS iTel A32F – The Camera
The specs so far look like iTel went to the past and created a Tecno W3 replica with some little tweaks. Both the Tecno W3 and iTel A32F features a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The Tecno W3 features a rear dual-LED flash while the iTel A32F features a single rear LED flash.
Tecno W3 VS iTel A32F – Hardware and Software
Powering the Tecno W3 is MediaTek MT6582 chipset, Mali-400MP2 graphics processing unit and 4-core processor, which is clocked at 1.3GHz. While the iTel A32F comes with 4-cores processor clocked at 1.3GHz, MediaTek MT6737 chipset and ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processing unit. The MediaTek MT6737 is like the improved version of the MT6582. So it’s a win for the iTel A32F in this department.
Running on the Tecno W3 is Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HiOS skin, 1GB memory with 8GB internal storage. While the iTel A32F also runs on a 1GB memory with 8GB internal storage and then a better Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). Of course, the Tecno W3 isn’t a new smartphone. The 1GB memory shouldn’t have any issues running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. While iTel A32F had to make do with a stripped version of the Android 8.1 Oreo.
Tecno W3 VS iTel A32F – The Battery
The Tecno W3 features a removable Li-Po 2500 mAh battery while the iTel A32F features a non-removable Li-lon 2050 mAh battery. No fast battery charging technology for both the iTel A32F and Tecno W3.
Tecno W3 VS iTel A32F – The Price
The Tecno W3 is currently sold for about $76 (N26,500) while the iTel A32F is sold for about $58 (N20,300). Am not really a fan of the Android Go edition initiative. You’ll be limited to a lot of stuff on the smartphone. I would rather stick with the outdated Tecno W3 instead.
