Borderlands 3: Gearbox Software announced the release date

Gearbox Software and 2K announce the launch of Borderlands 3, scheduled for September 13, 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The release date was accompanied by a new gameplay trailer showing the irreverent atmosphere typical of the game.

"In the past few years, the Gearbox Software team has focused every bit of their passion, creativity and love, to make Borderlands 3 the biggest, meanest and most ambitious Borderlands ever," says Gearbox Software president and CEO Randy Pitchford.

"Borderlands 3 was created not only as a love letter for fans of the series, but also as an ideal starting point for new players, who can try alone or in coop, online or offline, the biggest point reference point for shooter-looter titles. ”The Borderlands series has sold over 41 million copies to date. With a Metacritic rating of 90 and having sold over 19 million copies, Borderlands 2 still has more than one million active players per month, 7 years after its launch.

In Borderlands 3 it will be possible to explore new worlds, alone or in a cooperative, as one of the four new hunters in the Crypt. Each of them will be endowed with unique abilities, specializations and characteristics, which will serve to face massive monsters, recover loot and save the planet from the most ruthless sect of the galaxy.

The Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition includes:

Retro Package: head and skin hunter of the Crypt, skin ECHO device and skin weapon
Neon Package: head and skin hunter of the Crypt, skin ECHO device and pendant
Gearbox package: weapon skin and pendant
Toy Weapons Package: 2 toy weapons, MOD toy grenades and pendant
Equipped MODs, XP and loot increase
The Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition includes all the contents of the Deluxe Edition plus the Season Pass, which includes: 4 DLC packages with new stories, missions and challenges, Skin Weapons, pendant and MOD Stallone ass grenades. Finally for the collectors there is the Diamond Loot Chest Collector's Edition, which will be without the game but will offer the season pass, all the DLC and contents of the Super Deluxe Edition more:

To celebrate the announcement of Borderlands 3, the Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will be available starting today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is the final version in ultra HD remastered with all DLC included. More information on the game will be announced during a livestream set for May 1st.
