The new EMUI 9.1 is ready to bring many new features to users and especially to those who have never loved today's EMUI with its now obsolete and unoriginal icons. On Mate 20 Pro, Huawei, has already decided to release it in Beta version revealing some specifications and above all the news that Chinese developers have decided to implement on the interface in the coming months.
EMUI 9.1: performance improvements
Let's start with the part of the update that lays the foundation for the new interface. Let's talk about the new EROFS file system that together with the Ark compiler will allow you to have a completely different execution speed allowing high performance. Here he speaks directly to the CEO of Huawei, Richard Yu, who states that the compiler even guarantees a fluidity of 24% greater than before, a system speed greater than 44% , all improving performance on third-party apps even of 60%.
Interestingly, the new Ark compiler will be completely "open source" allowing it to be an alternative to the present Android ART. But not only because EROFS will also guarantee greater speed than the current file system, but will take up a considerable amount of space: there is even talk of almost 2GB less.
EMUI 9.1: new design and new icons
The major change that EMUI 9.1 will be able to achieve and that users will see is about the design or aesthetics of the new interface. Long last. Huawei had not changed the design of its EMUI for a long time and there were few differences with the arrival of Android 9.0 Pie. In this case the 9.1 version of the EMUI instead changes the cards on the table and the company has decided to propose a minimalist line with simpler but above all more modern icons.
EMUI 9.1: Turbo GPU and much more
The new EMUI 9.1 will also bring with it the possibility of total "collaboration" between different devices such as the possibility, for example, of connecting a smartphone to a device of a completely different kind using the NFC protocol, perhaps going to synchronize measurements made. A synergy that will allow users to create their own ecosystem.
Also interesting is the interaction with cars. In this case, Huawei has already stated that it has signed an important agreement with BMW . The car manufacturer in this case will allow users to use the smartphone as a key to their car or maybe even to perform some functions, some quick actions and maybe even turn on the engine directly from the phone. A technology compliant with the 1.0 standard of the Car Connectivity Consortium.
Finally the new GPU Turbo in version 3.0 will also arrive . The news? Support first of all for as many as 51 games that are added to the 60 already present to improve the performance of the smartphone during the games. Not only because it will also be possible to improve heat management and other utilities being implemented. Also worth mentioning are the improvements on the management of the Dual SIM.
